Fyansford Resource Recovery Centre

Sycle Fyansford remains a vital part of the region’s waste management and resource recovery network, with landfill operations expected to continue into the 2030s, which is influenced by market conditions and resource recovery rates.

Even beyond the life of the landfill operation, Sycle plans to continue supporting resource recovery efforts in the area.

We understand there have been concerns about odour in  the area, and we want to reassure the community that our  facility does not accept waste types that produce odours.

We’re committed to being a good neighbour and review our  operations on a daily basis. If you do notice an odour and can’t  locate the source, we are happy to support efforts to identify it.

Seagulls are highly adaptable birds that have learnt waste  facilities can provide food. Due to this pattern in behaviour  seagulls can be seen at most waste facilities – including  those that have no food waste, like Sycle Fyansford.

If you notice litter outside the facility boundary, please  contact us on 1300 0 SYCLE (79 253). We also do regular  boundary inspections outside the facility to check for litter.
