This Fill Material Declaration Form must be completed and submitted to Sycle prior to transportation of any soil to Sycle’s facilities.
On completion of this declaration form we may contact you for further information. We reserve the right to inspect and reject material if it is considered unsuitable.
Sycle’s facilities are authorised to accept Fill Material (N122), however, are not authorised to accept Reportable Priority Waste, including contaminated soil (Category A, B, C, D) (N120) or Acid Sulphate Soils (N123).
EPA Waste Duties
The Environment Protection Act 2017 (the Act) sets out the definition of industrial waste and establishes waste duties. The Environment Protection Regulations 2021 (the Regulations) set up the process for classifying industrial waste and prescribe additional situations where waste is considered industrial waste. Part 4.2 of the Regulations sets out the requirements for managing industrial waste in line with the Act. Soils that is industrial waste must be classified. The three steps to manage industrial waste under the Act and the Regulations are:
1. Classification: properly identify and classify it so that it is clear what duties apply to the waste and how to manage it.
2. Transportation: provide sufficient information about the waste to the transporter.
3. Lawful place: ensure that industrial waste only goes somewhere with lawful authority to receive it.
